Mastic Beach receives $10 million for drainage improvement

Mastic Beach secures a $10 million grant to enhance drainage systems, crucial for revitalization and combating chronic flooding and pollution in the area.
Mastic Beach – the deteriorating house at 2 Manhasset Drive, and accessory structure, were demolished and cleaned up this morning by the Town of Brookhaven’s Waste Management crew – with Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig.

Even though it might not seem like it the Town has made a lot of progress in bringing the SARV homes into compliance. There is certainly A LOT more that needs to be done but when we get reports of any issues on SARV properties they have 7 days to remedy them or we immediately go back to Court. Most issues have been remedied within the 7 day period. We need residents, such as yourself, to keep letting us know. ![]()
